Juridical Consultants may be asked to witness their testimonials at all courts in order to realize justice.

Who can request this service

Nationals and expatriates who have scientific expertise and knowledge.

Steps to follow to request the service

A. Process Steps:
  1. A letter should be addressed to the Directorate of Experts Affairs requesting to record the name of the expert at the Experts Register.
  2. A Form should be filled in and all other supportive documentations should be attached.
B. List all forms/applications that need to be completed to apply for the service:
  • Form of Registry in the Experts Directory.
  • List of Documentations required for registration.

What documents are needed to process

  • copy of the passport
  • copy of the ID Card (for Omani Nationals)
  • copy of the Labor Card (for Expatriates)
  • Copy of the qualifications and certificates authenticated by the competent authorities.
  • Copy of the experience certificate authenticated by the competent authorities.
  • certificate of good conduct (for Omani Nationals).
  • copy of the police clearance certificate (for expatriates)
  • (To Whom It May Concern) letter from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry allowing practicing profession.
  • Medical test
  • 2 personal photos
  • A resume indicating experience practiced.
  • Approval of the sponsor (for expatriates).
  • The applicant shall provide a proof that he/ she does not work for the Government.

Special conditions if any applicable

  • Applicant must have at least 5 years of service after obtaining his University Degree.
  • Applicant should be specialized and competent in the relevant expertise.
  • Applicant should not have been employed by the Government.
  • An approval from the competent authority to practice the profession should be provided.
  • The expatriate must be residing in Oman.

How the service is processed

The applicant will be informed acceptance/ rejection of the application by mail or a phone call.

How long will it take

One month after submission of application.
