Tour Guide Profession: A person who guides tourists and provides them with the information about the tourist attractions of the region.

Omani citizens and Expatriates

Steps to follow to request the service

  • The applicant will be tested and interviewed by the Tour Guide Committee, and then will be provided with the tour guide’s license of practicing the profession after paying the fees.

What documents are needed to process

Filling in the application form and attaching the following documents:
  • A copy of the ID card, or the passport and the Labor Card for non Omanis
  • A copy of the Police Clearance Certificate
  • Two photos
  • A copy of the educational qualification and work experience
  • Interview date
  • The medical fitness certificate to be submitted after passing.

Special conditions if any applicable

  • The applicant shall not be less than 18 years of age
